The Cardiology Division's mission is to discover, disseminate, and apply knowledge to improve heart health and reduce the burden of illness on society. In realizing our mission, Cardiology’s doctors, researchers and staff are committed to serving the people of Georgia, the nation, and the world by:

Preparing the health professional workforce of the future

Conducting research through programs that create, disseminate, and apply new knowledge relevant to heart health

Providing exceptional, innovative, patient-centered healthcare services

Contributing to the economic development and well-being of the State of Georgia through integrated programs in education, research and clinical care

Cardiology studies the diagnosis and disorders of the heart and circulatory system. The Medical College of GeorgiaMCG maintains a standard of excellence in the areas of: cardiovascular imaging, general cardiology, consultative cardiology, interventional cardiology, peripheral cardiology, and electrophysiology.
