Abstract

Description

A plastic model of a neuron which are cell of the nervous system. The majority of the model is dark gray in color. There are six branching projections called dendrites which are dark gray. There is one axon which looks like a tail at the back of the model; it is dark gray as well and does not branch. The front of the model is sectioned off to show the cell body. It is a dark blue lined circle that is light blue on the inside and has blue stripes within. There is a small blue bump that represents the nucleus of the cell. The area surrounding the cell body within is light gray in color and has sky blue oval shaped dots. The neuron model is attached to a black base that has the number "9" on it. Underneath the bottom of the base is inscribed "DH 34". Year range is estimate. Dimensions are: 5.5" H x 3.5" W; weight: 3.8 oz.
