Abstract

Description

An anatomical model of a muscle. Overall, the muscle is red in color. It has lots of striations, lines running vertically along it. It has dark red structures representing blood vessels. The lower left hand corner of the board has a black and silver label with "Bobbitt Laboratories" in big letters and has "Burlington, North Carolina" in smaller letters underneath. In various places are long, cylindrical purple structures that possible represent a muscle cell. Other colors in the model are white,yellow, and black. Above the muscle is a long cylindrical structure that is gray, white, and black in color. It is labelled with 9-14. It could possibly represent the actin and myosin filaments of a muscle fiber. Dimensions are: 3.5" H x 11.75" W x 14.75" L; weight: 3 lbs, 1.5 oz.
