Abstract

6.12 Physical Disabilities & Learning Disorder Policy: Georgia Health Sciences lkliversity, in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act,ensures that all students with disabilities are afforded equal opportunity and access to all programs and facilities at Georgia Health Sciences University. Georgia Health Sciences University also adheres to a policy of equal educational opportunities for all students with learning disorders. The University System of Georgia has adopted eligibility criteria to identify students who demonstrate specific learning disorders. The appropriateness of accommodations for each case must be evaluated on its ovvn facts and merits (Americans with Disabilities Act, 1990).
