Description
Sewed to the fabric at the bottom with green thread is the serial number which is P16539-20. There is a label with "#27" taped near the top of the tube. The exhibit card that comes with the item says that it is a "heart valve conduit with pig valve". The laboratories label from Hancock Laboratories, Inc. says that is a valved conduit. The label mentions that Hancock Laboratories, Inc. is in Anaheim, California, U.S.A. The label also says the item is "Stabilized Glutaraldehyde Process Porcine Xenograft". The storage solution is stabilized Glutaraldehyde. The specimen is to be stored between 5 - 25 degrees Celsius. The serial number is P16539; its model 100; the size is 20 mm, and the manufacture release date was 7-21-80. According to the exhibit card, this heart valve conduit with pig valve was used to connect a right ventricle to the pulmonary artery. It is dated June 9, 1980. Dimensions are: 10.5" H x 1.5" Diameter; weight: 11.5 Oz.
