Abstract
Description
Inhaler, blue glass with mouthpiece and (broken) rubber tubing. Placard reads: This bottle is similar to the "Hunter's Inhaler" identified by Charles Truax in "The Mechanics of Surgery" (1899), p. 647. The device consists of a broad, low bottle with two openings. One is used for the injection of the medicament and the other for the attachment of a rubber hose and inhaling tube. The medicament is placed in basin of hot water. By means of the mouthpiece the patient may inhale the steam and vapors generated in the bottle. Dimensions: 8.0" H x 5.5" W ; weight: 0.0 oz.
