Abstract
6.07 Policy on Appliances & Other Items Prohibited in Residence Halls: Due to fire safety regulations, certain electrical appliances and other potential hazards are not permitted in Georgia Health Sciences University residence hall facilities. These include, but are not limited to, hot plates or similar cooking devices, candles and open flames, and extension cords. Surge protectors (UL-approved) may be used provided they are properly installed (permanently affixed at least 8 inches from the floor). Other examples of prohibited items are delineated in this policy
