Abstract
Description
An anatomical model of the sacrum and half of the pelvis along with the digestive system The sacrum and pelvis parts of the model are either real bone or plaster. Attached to them are rubbery structures that represent the lower GI tract. The cecum with the vermiform appendix attached is shown. The cecum and appendix are pink in color. The arteries are red and veins are blue. The anal canal and bladder are seen. Both are pink in color. The majority of the digestive tract shown is pink in color. The lining is dark pink and the interior is light pink. There is muscle in between the pelvis and sacrum; this muscle structure is red in color and has lines running through it. A long screw runs through the sacrum to the pelvis. Estimated date range of artifact is 1970-1980. Dimensions are: 6" H x 7" W x 9" L; weight: 10.7 oz.
